Three new galleries of portraits have been added to the site. All of the portraits were take in India
The website now has a new gallery for recent work. The images displayed will remain in this gallery for number of weeks to permit visitors to the site to catch up with recent work before then being transferred to one of the other permanent galleries.
The first photographs in this new gallery are from three trips to Italy over the summer and autumn.
Following the success of India: A Personal Perspective, I am starting to plan my next Udaipur exhibition which will take place in early 2018 to mark Seva Mandir's 50th anniversary. The exhibition will explore themes common to both India and Italy. As with the first exhibition, I will be working closely with local artist and photographer, Rajesh Soni, and hopefully a number of other artists. I will be posting update blogs on preparations and progress. Your thoughts and comments will be most welcome.
I hope that the new website will provide a better experience for everyone following my work.
A new blog page will be a permanent feature of the site with news and events.
The first event to bring to your attention is Kensington & Fulham Open Art Spaces, Friday-Sunday, 24-26 June and 1-3 July. 11 am -7 pm. Painter Suchi Chidambaram is exhibiting a selection of her work at 19b Claxton Grove, London W6 8HD. The selection includes a new series of interpretations on canvas of images of India from photographs in my India: A Personal Perspective exhibition (please see the side panel and also the galleries section on this site which displays all of the photographs in that exhibition). The photographs which have inspired these interpretations will also be exhibited and for sale. Please come along!
